I have a row home with a finished underpinned basement with French drain and sump pump. The foundation is original brick from the 1880s. The inside surface of the brick is coated using a white dry-Lok basement paint. I get moisture coming in through the front wall of the house that causes the paint to discolor and for effervescence to form on the bricks. I basically have to repaint the wall about 4 times a year to keep it looking descent. Looking for suggestions on how to reduce water intrusion on the front wall. The effervescence is worse at the top 1/3 of the wall. Water isn’t an issue where the brick meets the concrete underpinning.
The back wall is an issue too but it’s under a slab and the leaking is less severe.
