It’s a "Buyer Beware" Industry

Unlike the plumbing and electrical trades, you don’t have to be licensed to be in waterproofing. Just because a company is in the yellow pages, doesn't mean they know or have an enviable track record in solving this problem. Make any waterproofing company show you proof for everything they say. Demand proof for everything any company says.

Typically in the home repair industry, you're just concerned about good references and a fair price – HVAC, guttering, plumbing, electrical work. Waterproofing is different. Not all waterproofing methods are created equal. Many solutions are temporary. Your home is a perfect example – whatever waterproofing solution was used on this home failed. The yellow pages are full of waterproofing companies – why? Because many methods that are used eventually fail. Their methods keep all the others in business – strange isn’t it?

It's not unusual for a person to spend their money on one waterproofing system and then have to replace it with the B-Dry® System. In effect, spending DOUBLE to permanently correct the problem.

70% of the work B-Dry® does is replacing a waterproofing method that was previously installed – not including the builder's original system installed during the home's construction... which also failed.

Be careful — many people have wasted time and money on temporary solutions. Make anyone convince you that their solution is permanent. Demand proof. You have worked hard for your money. Do not waste it.
